Aqbour Chowdhury, CPA
Aqbour is a Certified Public Accountant and Income Tax Lawyer holding an Honours and a 1st Class Masters degree in Accounting.
He is certified and registered as an Income Tax Lawyer (Reg. No: 10460) under the National Board of Revenue (NBR) of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Aqbour is an active Member of the Dhaka Taxes Bar Association (Membership No: A01237), and an Associate Member of the American Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), USA (Membership No: 7613395) and also an Associate Member of The Certified Public Accountants Association (CPAUK) (Reg. No: 39237112A) .
As a general practitioner, Aqbour has substantial experience in dealing with the Limited Companies and National Board of Revenue (NBR) investigations. He has worked with a wide range of clients in a variety of industries, primarily small & medium business clients, from manufacturing and distribution to personal services to family partnerships and trusts, handling all of their needs from financial reporting to tax planning and preparation. In addition, he has experience in individual taxation, with an emphasis on tax planning.
Aqbour is an Associate Faculty of North East University Bangladesh, Founder and Chairman of the Roads British Institute (RBI), Chairman of the Roads Network, and Co-Founder of Text-app.
As a social worker, Aqbour organized and worked as the Charter Secretary of the Rotary Club of Sylhet Pride and currently serving as Vice-President of the club. He worked in anti-corruption movement with the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) as the first Coordinator of the Youth Engagement & Support (YES) program in Sylhet. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Youth Aid Bangladesh.
Aside from his professional life and his interest for business in general, Aqbour enjoys spending time with his family. He likes to play chess and reading books.
